Event Information
Arrival & Registration
Please ensure that you arrive at the starting point in plenty of time. Car parking is available. Please refer to the website for directions and a route map. To register you must show the body and bike labels which have been sent to you. These must be attached before the event starts. All entrants aged under 16 MUST be accompanied by an adult.
Transport from Edinburgh
If you have registered for transportation for you and your cycle from Edinburgh to the start point in Dunfermline, you should arrive at the load point at Ocean Terminal no later than 11:30. Your cycle will carried by truck, with riders following in buses. Please keep a careful note of your cycle’s truck number.
Finish & Return Transport
If you have registered for transportation back to the Dunfermline start point, you will be given a time; either 16:30 or 17:30. Please keep a note of the number of the truck carrying your cycle.
Sponsorship
The SEStran two capitals Cycle ride aims to promote cycling for people of all ages and levels of ability. To support this aim, a proportion of the money raised will go towards promoting cycling in schools. This year we have also joined forces with Kingdom Kids and Maggie’s Cancer Care Centres as our nominated charities. If you can, please help by raising money for these worthy causes through sponsorship.
